I chose for my centerpiece base or container these nesting baskets. You may wonder why not take them apart and have 3 separate containers? I love the weight that the three edges makes in the look that I am building and it will have a more dramatic impact with texture on the table.
I found these three baskets at a furniture store in Springfield, MO while shopping for a client. I think they were somewhere between $37 – $57 for the three together. They are very sturdy and I just loved them even empty!
You can find lots of great baskets at World Market!
There are so many different Holiday Garlands available during just about anytime of the year. I purchase mine at Walmart, Michaels and Kirklands. You can usually get a coupon for Michaels, Walmart already has low prices and if you aren’t using Kirkland’s Spin to Win app, you are missing out on savings!
I chose these based on the color and the berries that I loved.
I just kind of squash the vine in the basket leaving lots of space for other items that will be added. I usually add just two vines to this centerpiece because it is very shallow.
I keep a bag of pumpkins of different sizes, squash, and acorns that I have gathered from the same stores mentioned above, as well as Pier 1.
This is so amazingly simple that I almost didn’t write this post but when I look at the finished product I realize there will be people who think they could never do it. So the key to making this really pretty is to NOT MAKE IT BALANCED.
The big mistake would be to set the biggest pumpkin in the center and then make sure you have the same amount of little ones all around. Also as you place the pumpkins and squash be sure that the tilts of the stems are going in all different directions.
This is it! I am done, it took literally 3 minutes after I had my items together. A Vibrant Fall Centerpiece to add color, texture and style to a table, room, buffet…or anywhere else you can use it.

Hi Debbie… Love your centre piece. It is one I will have to remember for Autumn/Winter next year here in Australia.

Thanks Fiona,
I have pulled it together for the past three years. What I love is no glue or picks, just tossed together and easy to pack up and reuse each year leaving my nesting baskets available for the next season’s decor~

Thank You Marjan, I am not a diy er and I am so amazed at so many of our friends. But if it is simple to do, and can just be bought and not sanded and painted, I can make it work 🙂

I know, like I said I almost didn’t write the post because it seemed too simple. But every year I get such great compliments on it, I thought people would like to know how to do something just tossed together~
