This is a brief follow up to my first post in the series Party Planning.
I talked about your guest list and what your invitation should include.
I decided to design my own Invitation from a template.
They arrived Friday, April 1. Today I stuffed my envelopes and addressed them and added the stamp. so they are totally going out tomorrow!
Here is what I came up with
We decided to give our party a name…I may have already told you in the previous post. I love “Bow Ties & Bourbon”. It kind of makes it a bit more masculine and with all of the baby and bridal showers we host, it is nice to have something that the guys can really get into as much as we can! At the time I made a name, I had no idea that it was common practice. Some party throwers have cups or other party supplies engraved with the name of their party.
If we choose to keep the same name for next year, I will design the background myself using photos from this year’s party. Can’t wait to get creative with that.
As I was putting on the stamps, I realized that I had not offered a place or way for our guests to send their regrets, but all of our invitations are going to friends or family who have a phone number, email or are Facebook friends.
I decided to give a layout of the day’s itinerary and hopefully that helps our guests in planning their arrival and departure and if they come hungry or not.
So here we go! No turning back, I hope we pull this off and everyone enjoys the day.
Cheers!
